what's been going on at m•o•m? ...a photo essay

sometimes being a grown-up is the best: brownie for breakfast

we started decorating for Chirstmas.

i took a self-portait while having breakfast at one of my favorite cafés in los angeles: café figaro

we've made the natalie pinafore in the softest red plaid flannel.

the sweetie pie purse is back! we've got three of them. they're in the shop and online.

the Christmas lights are in place!

i had a birthday and mom got me these awesome day-glo pink daisies and a fabulous handmade card by fern&feather.

oh and this happened....
i became engaged! my boyfrined of almost two years proposed on my birthday. and i said yes!

yay!

so far december is great!

hello december. good riddance to november!

well november seriously sucked. glad it's over.
there are various reasons for that statement, i won't bore you with the nitty-gritty details. let's just say that business decisions make our brains hurt. we'd rather play with fabric or take a picture. :-)

playing with fabric and taking pictures is what we do best. here's a little looksie at what we've been up to...

dot necklace: hand cut circles, black ties. modern and groovy. can also be worn by mom (i've practically lived in one for the past few weeks)

have you seen our sweater? it's really cute, in a cool-nerdy sort of way. exactly how we like things.
chain sweater: trim on each sweater is always slightly different. good for girls and boys.

rosebud belt: hand cut fabric, off-white cotton tape ties around back. it can also be worn as a headband -be crazy, no rules.

rosebud collar: we love, love, love our collar. a gorgeous handmade twist on a classic. as with our other accessories, it fits women also.

all of these accessories are in our shop in encinitas and available online. limited quantities.
